Six Star General Discussion

Sorry to remove your "six star general" insignia, but it is clear that no such insignia ever existed, and so it is not relevant here. See the reference cited in the General of the Armies page, which agrees with the other sources I have found. -- The Anome 15:53, 23 May 2004 (UTC)

I see you've replaced the image. Why? Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not -- we are only interested in encyclopedic information -- this insignia has never been worn on a U.S. Army uniform, and there is no suggestion that any such configuration was ever even considered, as the General of the Armies rand pre-dates the rank of five-star general. -- The Anome 20:33, 23 May 2004 (UTC)

In response to your question regarding the validity of the General of the Armies image, the article was revised to clerarly indicate that this was a conjectural image as proposed by the Institute of Heraldry. Good point you made, though, no arguing with that. It has never been an actual insignia, but it was proposed in 1945 when they thought Douglas MacArthur might have recieved it. Hope that clears it up. Thanks for the concern.

Double Redirect

Don't put "Under construction" messages at non-existant articles. That's considered pointless and a waste of everyone's time. Leave the link blank until you're ready to put an article there. -- Infrogmation 18:08, 30 Jun 2004 (UTC)

The article in question was a Double Redirect to a Non-Existent Page and is part of a much larger project to document Awards and decorations of the United States military and Military badges of the United States. It was not pointless or a waste of time. It was a space holder until I have time to write the article. -User:Husnock

Military articles

Just wanted to drop a note and say that the military ribbon articles you've been working on are very nice. I've been dinking around in the gator ships lately. Hmmm. Some of the ships descriptions mention awards. Got a Humanitarian Service Medal hanging out somewhere? Guess I need to take a look. ;-) Ocon | Talk 05:32, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Thank you! I'll add the Humanitarian Service Medal in the next few days. I consider that to be a honorable decoration since you can only get it by helping others. -Husnock

Images

Husnock, great new images! But, you should label the image page with the appropriate copyright notices (See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags), otherwise the image could get deleted in the future by some copyright paranoid people. Military Badges

Added a Cadet Glider Pilot entry in the current USAF awards section - know it is awarded to USAFA and exchange cadets upon completion of glider training - believe it may be worn after graduation but isn't, but not sure about that.

I think this page should be kept clear of the Cadet and Midshipman badges used at the service academies. Every badge on this page has been verified from the offical instructions of the U.S. Armed Forces. Perhaps we could make such badges into a separate article? Hope thats not too much to ask, but a lot of time has gone into this page. A good rule of thumb is that the page is only for badges which appear on a active military uniform. School badges, ROTC awards, and Cadet Training awards should go somewhere else User:Husnock

I'll look into it more - but here's something interesting that turned up already [1] - the WWII glider wings are being awarded to Cadet instructor pilots, approved by the National WWII Glider Pilots Association - may be an interesting followup to the obsolete badges section. Also - any thought to splitting the obsolete badges AF section in to an AF section and an Army Air Corps section?

Requests for adminship

Hi, I've nominated you for an admin because of your fine work, you can accept or decline the nomination at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. GeneralPatton 00:27, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I am very honored to have been asked to become an administrator but must decline due to my computer access situation. I am a government employee and also a Naval Reservist subject to deployment. Situations may arise where I will lose internet access for several months, if not over a year. I hope everyone continues to enjoy my work, though. It is my aim to create an entire database of every military award and badge of the United States military. Thank you! -User:Husnock 27 Aug 04

Medal of Military Merit

Hi there! Thanks for adding the image Image:Meritmedal.jpeg. It currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, and I was hoping that you would add one as untagged images may be deleted eventually. (You can use gfdl to license it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks! --Diberri | Talk 18:06, Sep 1, 2004 (UTC)

Image in question is Public Domain-Work of US government. All of the images I use are from the database of military awards and decorations which is indexed at the National Personnel Records Center, of which I am an employee. -Husnock
Thanks for the information. Would it be acceptable if I added the PD-Gov tag to any other images of yours that I encounter? Best wishes, Diberri | Talk 19:00, Sep 1, 2004 (UTC)
Yep that would be great. When I first started writing for Wilk, I knew nothing about the copyright tags. It was explained me (see topic discussion above) and since then I have added the PD-USGov tag. Thanks for pointing that out! -Husnock

Military Badges

Dear Neutrality- Please stop taking out the links to Military badges of the United States which is in every article associated with that topic. The category link is an alphabet listing while the link to the main article is a comprehensive "broken down" index. Both the article link and the category should remain in every badge article, I feel. Husnock 30 Sep 2004

I don't remove the link. I incorporated it in the article, so that U.S. military badge linked to Military badges of the United States. This style is preferred–usually "see also" sections should be avoided. By the way, I am a great admirer of your work. Keep it up! Neutrality (talk) 21:01, Sep 30, 2004 (UTC)
Got your reply. I certinaly wont revert any of your changes. You made a good point. We are talking about dozens of articles, though. If you have that kind of time, more power to you. New articles will probably be written with the same format, i.e. "See also" at the bottom. P.S.- How does one archive discussion pages? I've been trying to figure that out. Husnock 1 Oct 2004
Thanks; I probably will, if I have time. You can archive your talk page by creating a subpage: for example, User talk:Husnock/Archive 1. You can copy all of the messages on your talk, then paste them in your archive, and delete them from your main talk. Neutrality (talk) 19:15, Oct 1, 2004 (UTC)

Various copyright questions

Husnock,

Hello, pleased to meet you. I have 2 questions for you.

1. For the images Image:SeaServiceResRib.jpg and Image:SeaServiceRib.jpg, did you create these? Or are they perhaps in the public domain?

Those two images were created through my duties as a military historian at the National Personnel Records Center. They should have the PD-USGov tag. I will change it when I have the chance.

2. There is an unsolved question that I thought you might know the answer to. If a soldier is on duty, and he takes a personal photograph with his own camera, does he own the copyright to the photo (since he took it, and he wasn't ordered to take the picture) or is the picture in the public domain (since it was produced by the U.S. government, in a sense.)

Personal photos taken my members of the U.S. Armed Forces are thier opwn property and they have the release authority on them. Photos taken which are put into offical records, such as service record photos and investigation type pictures (accidents, mishap determination, etc) are property of the U.S. government and are usually restricted for release. However, a photo from a service record is public inforamtion under the Freedom of Information Act. All of that that I just typed applies to the U.S. only. I have no idea about other countries.

Thanks very much, Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 01:20, Oct 6, 2004 (UTC)

Your welcome! -Husnock

Wow, thanks for the thorough reply. I have a follow-up question then. The Abu Ghraib photos. Are they in the public domain, or are they copyright the photographer? It sounds like it depends on whether they are "personal photos" or "investigation-type records". Could the photographer sue CBS for displaying his photos without permission? Thanks, Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 11:24, Oct 6, 2004 (UTC)

Retroactive Air Assault Badge

If you are the person who posted the Air Assault Badge info, please contact me via email to Glamunyon@aol.com. I have been trying to get retroactive Air Assault Badge for several years with no results - for more information visit www.airassault.bizhosting.com (this is my first time using the Wikipedia system - if I have broken some rules by posting my email and a website reference, it is purely thru ignorance and I apologize in advance. If anyone else has information about this issue, please contact me.

Its actually a very simple process. Go on the web and download DD Form 149 (avaialble through Yahoo, Google, Lycos search engine, etc). Fill out the DD Form 149 stating why the Air Assualt badge is warranted and mail it to the Army address which is on the form. The Army will then determine if a retroactive award is warranted. If you need records to support your claim, they can be obtained by Standard Form 180 which is sent to the National Personnel Records Center. General info number is 314-801-0800 -Husnock 21 Oct 04

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Image copyrights

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:OverseasBar.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Edwinstearns 21:57, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

All the overseas bars pictures are from the image library used by the National Personnel Records Center. Most likley originaly obtained from the United States Army. I've seen a new image tag around that is just for U.S. military badges, although I cant remember what it is. That would probably be the best one to use. -Husnock 9 Dec 04
Followup to this. The image you questioned is not in use by any article. It actually should be deleted. -Husnock

Imperial Images

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? A fine offer, I must say. I really have to turn it down, though, as adminship on this site doesnt seem that appealing. I'd much rather devote my efforts to writing and improving articles. Thanks for the confidence, though. -Husnock

Thank you for your contributions to Cold War (1962-1991). However, please find a better place for the information that you are inserting. I'm sure that it'll fit well in another place, but it's pretty irrelevant next to paragraphs summing up with the fate of billions of people in nations like Russia and China in a few sentences. Regards, 172 15:44, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Sorry you feel its irrelevant. The creation of a Cold War Victory Medal was a very historic thing in the United States. I think it goes well in the "Legacy" section. If you dont agree, do you ahve any suggestions on where to move the info? -Husnock
Start a Cold War Victory Medal article and link it to the "see also" section of Cold War. 172 19:32, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)

USAF " Occupational Badges"

Hi,

Thanks for all the work you are doing! I noticed on the Military badges of the United States page, you changed back the title of the Air Force "Career Field Badges" to "Career Specialty Badges". I was almost 100% sure they were called career badges (I'm active AF 15yrs). I double checked the regs though, and I was also wrong. [PDF of Regs] They are officially called "Occupational Badges". I promise I won't touch the other services info :) I just have a passion for the Air Force stuff.

I have a similiar goal as you. I want to create a standard for all US Military Bases, and slowly get them all listed. Keep up the good work!

Hello again. Could you tell me where Image:Wildhouse.jpg came from? I'm doing image copyright tagging. Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 18:45, Dec 13, 2004 (UTC)

I have NO idea! That image has been on my hard drive since at least 1995. It was sent to me by someone in college. I think it was taken in London, England, at a prison museum but I really dont know. Sounds like Public Domain to me. -Husnock

Go Hokies!

Husnock, hello! Great to see a fellow hokie on the wikipedia! I think you could find a few more hokies over on Virginia_Polytechnic_Institute_and_State_University, but I don't know how active they are. If you are looking for some work (although it looks like you do plenty already) that page needs some serious help.

The biggest thing I think that page needs is pictures of campus (or at least Burrus) and a picture of the seal for the infobox. I created the info box, but am unsure what the copyright rules are on using the university's seal. I feel like it is probably fair use, but am unsure.

Anyway, go hokies!--MaxPower 20:27, 2004 Dec 15 (UTC)

Trek page copyright fiasco

Don't worry about the Star Trek synopsis pages, you wern't doing anything wrong except changing an article thats been temporarily banned right now and Cyris is an admin. (and admins don't like it when you go around them like that).
To the best of what I understand of all this is: there is a Trek fan site called "Memory Alpha" which is a Wikipedia-like site for Star Trek info. What is ironic for them, Wikipedia has way more and better written articles on Trek than they do, and some Memory Alpha fans threw a hissy fit about it. They in turn spammed all the Trek synopsis pages, deleting what was written and replacing it with a hot links back to their related topic pages on Memory Alpha.
They were caught and executed I guess, but another person took it upon himself to fill in the episodes I hadn't gotten to yet (basically the rest of season 3) and copied what was on Memory Alpha and put it in here. So Memory Alpha caught that and of course reported it to Wikipedia as a copyright violation. So Cyris placed a copyright infringement warning on all the season 3 episodes I haven't gotten to yet.
Thats basically what I heard happened. If you want to edit the ones that are left you have to put it on the temporary link for admin approval, which can take a while. It sucks, but thank the crybabies of Memory Alpha for it. I myself will get to them all eventually, I've been busy with other things right now. Cyberia23 12:15, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Kommodore

I noticed that you added the German Kommodore rank to Comparative military ranks of World War II which is good. Looking at some of the promotion histories of senior German Naval offices of the time, the rank does not appear that often with most going from the highest Captain rank to Konteradmiral (equivalent to what would be a Commodore in the RN and formerly in USN now RALH). Therefore I am interested to know whether a Kommodore a special kind of brevet rank in the German Navy awarded to special captains or was it an inbetween rank rarely used? Perhaps if you don't know, through your historical network you might be able to find out? Dainamo 04:27, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The German rank section of the article: Commodore explains the subject rather well. Happy New year! -Husnock

VT Logo (or Seal)

Husnock! I think the Virginia Tech page is in *desperate* need of a logo in the quick facts box. I was wondering if in your travels you had come across a logo we could use? I am looking for the pylons logo preferably, but the VT Seal would work as well. I've found this page but I can't seem to get into those FTP's. Maybe you could spread the word among fellow Hokies and see if we can come up with something? I mean even the UVA page has their school seal on it! Let me know what you think --MaxPower 19:20, 2005 Jan 6 (UTC)

Virtuti Image

Hi there! I'd be more than happy to use the Image:VirtutRib.gif you uploaded in the Virtuti Militari article I'm currently working on. However, there's only one slight problem with it: the colours are totally wrong. The blue is too violetish (not even the original amaranth...) and the black looks... greenish? Do you have a correct version as well? Halibutt 19:50, Jan 11, 2005 (UTC)

I looked at this article and the image you mention is not used. Image:VirtutRib.gif is an image for "Awards and decorations of the United States military". Image:Virtuti Militari.jpg was uploaded by other people and I dont know anything about it. -Husnock
Apparently I didn't make myself clear enough. The image you uploaded is not the ribbon of Virtuti Militari, although the image description says so and so does the caption on the "Awards and decorations of the United States military" page. If you have the correct version (a version of Image:VirtutRib.gif with the correct colours of the ribbon of actual Virtuti Militari) - please upload it. If you don't - the picture should be removed from Wikipedia since it misinforms those who use Wikipedia by showing wrong colours. Halibutt 00:32, Jan 12, 2005 (UTC) P.S. Doesn't matter now, I uploaded a correct version as Image:Virtuti Militari Ribbon.png. --Cheers, Halibutt 00:45, Jan 12, 2005 (UTC)

Kosovo Campaign Medal

Hi Husnock,

FYI, User:Vergina has you listed as a "vandal" because Kosovo Campaign Medal refers to the Republic of Macedonia as Macedonia rather than FYROM - he's a bit fanatical about that issue. It did need to be disambiguated (Macedonia ≠ Republic of Macedonia), which I've done. Please keep an eye open for him trying to change it to FYROM - the current Wikipedia policy is to call it "Republic of Macedonia", not FYROM.

BTW, I thought Kosovo Campaign Medal was an excellent article - very clearly written. Nice work! -- ChrisO 11:03, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

War on terrorism medals

The were changed in the War on terrorism article. No big deal. I just wanted to let you know IOH has them listed with capital letters. Thanks! -Husnock

Hi there - I saw your revert and re-revert - by way of explanation, I thought the Grand Cross article was pretty short and looked better incorporated into Iron Cross. I hope you agree.

I have left the separate article on the Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, although perhaps it should be incorporated too. What do you think? -- ALoan (Talk) 16:52, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Your revision to Iron Cross looked really good. The Star of IC article should probably remain separate as it has the potential to expand into a large article all on its own. Its short now, but can be written upon to include bios of the two winners of the award (Bismark and von Blucher) as well as several more pictures. I am knee deep in other Germany projects right now, but will get to that eventually. -Husnock 4 Mar 05

I was still editing ranks. And still editing, give me time its tedious work :) --Cool Cat My Talk 20:57, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Can you please "table" them too? I am working on Cdet ranks. Tables are too painfull for me : etc would be nice (with all descriptions to follow afterwards...) --Cool Cat My Talk 21:54, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Do you happen to have msn? We need a real time enviorment for a sec to coordinate this as both of us seek perfection :) --Cool Cat My Talk 02:43, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

When I started editing ranks I was on my desktop, my motherboard fried so I have no access to programs to edit jpgs. I will redo some ranks using your input and "cleaning it up". I dont see why you modified enterprise ranks :( My theme was better. I like using same jpg over and over again. That way we save on wiki resources, load time, :) --Cool Cat My Talk 07:45, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

They are cuter! :). (I can actualy make them occupy less space on the page) Having 1 jpg is better than 10. :) I intend to generate generic ranks and sub ranks. In a way that there will be 3 jpgs for all ent admiral ranks forexample. I will use your picture and slice it into 3. If you can get me the enlisted rank, Ill be very happy. I just need 2 ranks: .(center dot) : < and /. I can reuse the char like I did in TNG pips. overal its better that way. --Cool Cat My Talk 07:59, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Also, why to we have a motion picture seperate from TOS, ranks look identical. :o --Cool Cat My Talk 07:59, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I modified some pictures, I think it looks better this way. If you like the page the way it is, can you please get the leftovers deleted? I reverted my enterprise pictures, kinda. I improved them big time. Admiral ranks are also redone for both TNG and ENT era.I use a total of 2 pictures for all officer ranks (excluding fleet captain), for admiral I use 3 recursively. I increased the sizes of some images I added. I removed "Star Trek" or "ST:" as they are all star trek ranks anyway, saves space big time me thinks. Also DSN became DS9. --Cool Cat My Talk 10:24, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I believe Enterprise admiral ranks were brighter, I think the ranks were worn above both pockets, I dont remember the ring around the pips but I clearly remember both pips haveing identical color/brightness as regular silver pips.

---

You dare improve the article without me knowing? :) I made a few cospetic changes of my own, tell me what you think. ^_^ --Cool Cat My Talk 23:04, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC) That wasnt the only thing I changed.... :( All my work, gone. Can you make enlisted ranks from [red][pip][pip][red] to [red][red][red][red][red][pip][pip][red] (ie 2 missing pips like Luetenant.) --Cool Cat My Talk 07:12, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

i thiught blank space looked nicer, you know its better than "no insignia" maybe? :P --Cool Cat My Talk 10:09, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Change was made for consistancy with the rest of the chart -Husnock

Do we really need two different category for the motion picture and TOS? They are identical as far as I can tell. --Cool Cat My Talk 00:30, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your question about adminship, but Ive turned that down before. Admins ahve become little more than vandal police, spening most of thier time blocking anon IPs who vandalize articles. I am also in the military, subject to deployments, and may be away for Wiki for long periods of time. Thanks, though for the support. -Husnock

O'Brien's Rank

So there was no distinction between officers and enlisted? I think O'brian was an officer at a point, after the cardasian incident he had, he resigned his commision. --Cool Cat My Talk

Here is the answer to your question cut from the article:
"When Star Trek: The Next Generation was first aired, enlisted personnel were again a very ambiguous subject. Apart from occasional dialogue addressing an extra as “Crewman”, no set of enlisted ranks or insignia was established in the first two seasons of the Next Generation. By the third season, the character of Miles O'Brien had been developed into the first recurring enlisted role since Yeoman Janice Rand of the Original Star Trek series. The rank insignia worn by O’Brien was confusing, however, in that he was often addressed as “Chief”, but appeared to wear the insignia of a Lieutenant (in one episode he is actually addressed as “Lieutenant”). By the fifth season of the Next Generation series, a system of rank insignia for enlisted personnel had at last been established. Such insignia was actually identical to officer pips, with a variation in the number of pips displayed depending on an enlisted member’s status as a Petty Officer, Chief Petty Officer, or the higher CPO ranks. The rank pips in the Next Generation series also were displayed in silver and gold with silver worn by officers and gold for the enlisted ranks. Later Star Trek productions would eliminate this gold/silver distinction and establish gold pips as the standard insignia for all grades."
About O'Brien, his backstory establishes him as a career enlisted Starfleet member. During the Next Generation he is supposed to be a Chief Petty Officer and in Deep Space Nine he eventually is declared to be a Senior Chief Petty Officer. P.S.- I like all ur other changes to the article! -Husnock 13Mar05
Basialy story writers were high on crack when "thinking" enlisted ranks through, knew better on later DS9 seasons... --Cool Cat My Talk 14:23, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Danke for the star :). --Cool Cat My Talk 14:23, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

This guy (Fadix)is completely ignoring wikipedia policy and is acusing me with things... I know we are not supposed to bite newbs but they should not bite us either... --Cool Cat My Talk 20:23, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

If he's making personal attacks against you, report him to Wikipedia:Vandalism in progress -Husnock
Is it too much asking a question? I have answered someone that had made charges against me, but you have reverted my answer. I don't see why that decision was taken.Fadix 19:00, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
It looked like you were responding to Coolcat. I saw no need to keep such things on my talk page. Also what remains on a talk page is normally up to the Talk Page's User. I dont know anything about what you and Coolcat are talking about. My only advice to him was to visit vandal in progress if personal attacks were being made. Doesnt look they are, based on what I see. -Husnock

I think we can actualy talk now with Fadix. No need to bother you anymore :) --Cool Cat My Talk 19:42, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Hey there Luetenant, want another challenge? --Cool Cat My Talk 16:24, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

FYI: I've done Army and Airforce of US ranks in the article, didnt quite touch Navy. As you are a navy officer, ill let you handle that. There may be a wikipedia article that has US navy ranks but this article compares ranks of diferent countries millitary. List will not fit a page, I think thats ok.
I did not touch enlisted.
Does US arfmed forces have a field marshal equavalent rank?

--Cool Cat My Talk 19:46, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Come on, help me out! :P --Cool Cat My Talk 23:04, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

What do you think? Done Biritsh Army (aside from enlisted/subofficers) And done US (aside form navy & enlisted). US navy is your speciality as you are in it, help me out here :) --Cool Cat My Talk 10:09, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thats a major project and I have little time right now. Also need to get back to my Nazi Germany articles. Full speed ahead, though, and I'll see what I can do. -Husnock

Old images

I put up a request to get your older images deleted as we are not using them anymore. I thought youd not mind. --Cool Cat My Talk 01:30, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I have so many stale images out there, I cant keep track. The more help in deleting them the better. -Husnock

Archiveing

Actualy its fairly simple and easy. You can either:

 • (how one can do) move to talk:Husnock/Archive 1 (moves history). Not preferable as changes are harder to spot.
 • (how I do) cut paste talk:Husnock/Archive 1 (moves only msgs but keeps history under your main page). Preferable because history will only register your edit hence other people adding items will be very easy to spot.
 • and include link to talk:Husnock/Archive 1 here.

you do not have to use /Archive, any word can be used instead of archive, I am Archiving by year categorising it by mounth. --Cool Cat My Talk 17:14, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Want me to archive this page for you? --Cool Cat My Talk 17:52, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
