Am I imagining things, or does most of this article come directly (with some tense-shifting) from in-game CODEC dialogue? <Sockatume><T>

Huh, you're right. I checked with a text dump of the codec conversations, and it matches up quite neatly. For example, compare the following CODEC dialogue with the first few lines of the article:

• "Arsenal. We're talking about an impregnable fortress carrying a load of over a couple of thousand missiles including nuclear warheads -- all protected by a horde of mass-produced Metal Gear RAY units. [...] Arsenal Gear has full access to the Military's Tactical Network, giving it the ability to exercise absolute control over our nation's armed forces, not to mention our nuclear armament. In short, Arsenal was created to be the core of our country."

I'll sit down and hammer out a more original (and shorter) version at some point. As with MGS2's plot detail, there may be a more succinct version in another, related article.
