Untitled[edit]

I have a problem. People dont like to talk to much about this subject and it is awesome. That thing brings up a good arguement.

Removed Paragraph[edit]

I recently undid some deletions on this page, but this one paragraph I haven't attempted to confirm yet, so I'll put it here. Someone else can add it if/when they determine it's validity. I think it's all correct, but... TheIncredibleEdibleOompaLoompa 02:34, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After the trial, Scopes went to the University of Chicago, where he received a master's degree in geology. After that he was mainly employed by the oil industry, in both the United States and Venezuela. He died at the age of 70, probably from a stroke. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky.

Paying the fine?[edit]

In this article it says Bryan offered to pay his 100 dollar fine, I obviously don't know if this is true but it doesn't seem to make sense why would the prosecutor offer to pay for the fine? Could someone please clarify this for me. SirGrant 07:27, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fine Amount[edit]

I see that the $100 fine was recently changed to $500, but although the reference listed does state a $500 fine, every other place I look on the web (for example http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/scopes/statcase.htm) has it stated as a $100 fine, and they seem a tad more reputable. Perhaps it needs to be reverted?

I undid the edit by 97.82.219.172 for the ruthless deletion of the link [1] without discussion. I added the site but it is not mine neither do I agree with it. It appears, however, to have some interesting and possibly pertinent information.
