Is the article really a stub? How much can you say about a point? Might be a nice spot for dancing angels. I am giving the lighthouse its own article, not least because it is some distance from the point. Also, I imagine it has rather more history etc than is currently given. The new lighthouse article can be regarded as a stub. Laurel Bush 09:28, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC).

I would be tempted to agree, but I am several hundred miles away and there might have been a whole raft of stuff about geology, geomorphology, ecology, caving, ship-wrecks etc that I know nothing of , and you, being on the door-step so to speak , might have known about - the stub was simply an acknowldgement of greater knowledge elsewhere! All I do know is that it is a very welcome sight on the return leg of a stormy trip to Stromness.

Holborn Head, an as yet unwritten article, is rather more than the point. The caves look interesting (inaccessible without ropes etc). The area around the point is believed to have been a prehistoric fortification, and I believe some of the headland's flora is almost unique. I dont know where the headland's name comes from, but I suspect it is relatively new: that an estate owner has had links with Holborn in London. Usually however (in Caithness) the headland's name is pronounced more as written. A long time since I tried the ferry trip Laurel Bush 11:45, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC).

I am thinking now that Holborn Head point and Holborn Head Lighthouse would be better as one article called Holborn Head. Laurel Bush 09:28, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC).
