Njyoder's debating style on Talk:Gender won't come as a surprise to anybody who saw his personal attacks at my request for adminship, 1 May to 8 May 2005. I don't know why I was singled out in this way, as I'd had no contact with him of any kind previously. I took him to be trolling, rather than airing any grievance against me personally, and following this perception, I didn't respond to his posts. (The people who did speak to him, however mildly, got a lot more aggression from him, see especially his message to Sannse[1].) The only factual basis for animosity from Njyoder towards me that I know of is that I made fun of him on #wikipedia (briefly and IMO mildly) during an IRC session which got him kicked and eventually banned from the channel for trolling. OTOH, these IRC remarks of mine came well after Njyoder had begun his crusade against me. (I'll be happy to quote them, if it's proper to quote #wikipedia on Wikipedia at all). I've supplied a selection of diffs below, according to custom, but I'm thinking it may be simpler and quicker for reviewers to give Requests for adminship/Bishonen and its talk page a read-through, since all of Njyoder's relevant edits are contained in these two pages. (Note, however, that his "joke" vote which was removed as too offensive—see below—is not visible on the page.)

  • 14:05, May 1, humorous RFA vote: Njyoder votes Strong 'Oppose to my RFA, giving as the reason: "She raped me with a series of rolled up Wikipedia print-outs :-(". [2]. Many users on #wikipedia IRC ask him to remove the sentence about rape. He refuses repeatedly, and User:Sj removes the sentence after a few minutes. [3]
  • 20:43, May 3, posting #wikipedia logs: Njyoder creates the talk page for my RFA and pastes in extracts from the #wikipedia log claimed to "further incriminate her ... decides to go offline in a private medium with kim to spew vitriol so that she doesn't further incriminate herself." [I often talk privately with Kim Bruning on IRC—Njyoder wasn't on that occasion, or ever, a subject between us.] "Objective administrators don't constantly seek validation and work to absolutely ensure that everyone is on their side, nor do they go into private conversations to talk about a dissenter behind their back." [4],[5]
  • 21:27, May 3, aggression: Sannse asks Njyoder not to post extracts from the #wikipedia log: "You probably missed my comment earlier on channel - posting logs from #wikipedia is against the channel policy]] [6], eliciting the response: "Sannse, I suggest you take your POV, and dishonest pro-censorship behavior elsewhere... I suggest you read the Wikiquette, Wikilove and NPOV articles so you can better understand the wikipedia policies that you are violating...if you continue this ridiculous childish retaliatory behavior on both IRC and Wikipedia, I'll get a comitte to come in and review you to have your admin status revoked." [7]
  • 00:48, May 5, classic trolling: Geogre posts a long, polite, reasoned argument to Njyoder, who responds "Either you're just plain ignorant about how #wikipedia works or you're just lying through your teeth here.[8].
  • 02:58, May 6, freakishly accuses another user of bombarding the page with personal attacks: "PLease read Wikilove Giano, you are violating the rules of Wikipedia by bombarding this page with your personal attacks."[9] Sic.
  • 19:08, May 7, accusation of auto-asskissing: He responds to Zzyzx11's suggestion that I be given credit for either popularity, merit, or "networking": "Why the heck should she 'get credit' simply for her ability to garner votes? ... Somehow, I don't think kissing your ass to the top is a valid qualifier for being an admin." [I won't comment on the acrobatic position involved, but Njyoder's typical language and tone come across.] [10]
  • 16:44, May 8, final attack: "She's so obviously trying to portray herself as a saint here... Frankly, her behavior is very dishonest, if it's not a flat out lie...being certain to periodically inject faux-modest statements...[11].
