Welcomes[edit]

  • Hi Dygituljunky - no welcome yet??? Well, welcome! Grutness...wha? 08:39, 19 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

US-struct-stubs[edit]

I've just corrected the count you made of US building and structure stubs. There are actually about 1300 of them - you only looked at the first page of the category (each plage only lists up to a total of 200 articles and subcategories, wh9ch is why the category seemed to contain only things beginning with A, B, or C!) Grutness...wha? 08:39, 19 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Aha, thanks for the tip. The person that edited this before me said that it was down to 5 building stubs... I thought that was probably wrong... --Bill 05:59, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination[edit]

Articles for deletion nomination of Hezekiah M. Washburn[edit]

I have nominated Hezekiah M. Washburn, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hezekiah M. Washburn. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Niteshift36 (talk) 14:15, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A Knight in the Congo[edit]

Hi Dygituljunky, thanks for the note. I checked on the article, and I am pretty sure the article is much too close to the book to avoid copyright infringement. If the content were restored, all the text would still be there, however I'm afraid it would violate the copyright of the book. --TeaDrinker (talk) 04:24, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid the first version of the article is almost exactly copied from here. Sorry, it does seem to be a copyright violation. --TeaDrinker (talk) 04:09, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for checking back. I have looked into the matter further and indeed you are correct. I apologize. The book was indeed copied from Wikipedia, not the other way around. I have undeleted the text and re-listed the deletion which was then in process, notifying the contributors). You are absolutely welcome to participate in the deletion discussion, and I take no position on the deletion (the issue is one of notability, so you might find it useful to check out Wikipedia:Notability_(books)). Hope this helps, --TeaDrinker (talk) 03:22, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Dygituljunky/Hezekiah M. Washburn, a page which you created or substantially contributed to (or which is in your userspace), has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Dygituljunky/Hezekiah M. Washburn and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Dygituljunky/Hezekiah M. Washburn during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.
