Probably 90% of the items on the below list are "obvious" misspellings, miscapitalizations, or redundancies. Your help is needed nominating these for deltetion, mostly by identifying the "obvious" replacement category.

Based on preliminary polling, categories which will eventually be populated should not be deleted. So if there is no "obvious" replacement category but you still think a given category should be deleted (because it should not eventually be filled), please nominate that category individually with an short explanation of your reasoning.

If you find a category that you think should be kept and eventually populated, please either assign it to an appropriate parent category or categories, or add it to Category:Orphaned categories.

All categories on this list had no parent categories, subcategories, or articles at the time they were detected by an automated scan.

All other orphans detected by automated scans are listed on Category:Orphaned categories, and some of those are also likely candidates for deletion (after de-population). (These other orphans include many categories that don't really exist but are linked to from articles.)

Please delete any categories you fix or nominate for deletion, or if you notice any that are already fixed or nominated. Any categories that are red are "fixed" as long as they have no children.
