Is YES Michael?[edit]

Not to belabor the point; but Tim Starling has "confirmed" that I am several users -- which I know that I am not. What evidence is there that YES is Michael? Perhaps YES was me (no, YES wasn't) -- but what evidence does Tim have? If his evidence is comparable to his evidence against me, I'd say there isn't anything beyond the purely circumstantial. Lirath Q. Pynnor

(moved here because not relevant to this case, IMO - the accusation that YES is Lir has been withdrawn). Martin

list of known accounts[edit]

Well, I'm going to have to call Tim Starling's competetence into question here -- this just isn't true. Lirath Q. Pynnor
This list and other similar lists are at User:Tim Starling/Password matches. All accounts have the same password. -- Tim Starling 12:53, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)
Wow, you are just all about crossing the line -- thanks for revealing my password. Lirath Q. Pynnor
Sharing a password with another user, is not proof that I am the other user. It is totally inappropriate to inform other users of my password; this is indicative of the double-standards I must deal with. Since I have changed my password, the list is no longer valid. Lirath Q. Pynnor
Tim didn't reveal your password. He simply revealed a list of accounts that all shared the same unknown password. The fact that you changed the password on one of the accounts does nothing to invalidate his list. Snowspinner 14:40, Jul 6, 2004 (UTC)
This is a list of users who have the same password as me. That tells everyone on that list, what my password is -- they all have the same password, now they found out I did too. It was totally inapporopriate and I hope the arbitration committee notes that I constantly have to deal with such breaches of what could only be considered "basic wiki civil rights". Lirath Q. Pynnor
So what you're claiming is that your password was so weak that 32 other users happened to also use it? If that were true, I'm not sure I'd want to admit it in public. Isomorphic 03:13, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Yes, its a very common "don't use it, everyone uses it" sort of password. Lirath Q. Pynnor
Lir, are you saying that none of these accounts are yours (other than User:Lir) or are you saying that only some of them are? If the latter, how many and which ones? -- sannse (talk) 10:05, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Second that request. Lir, please declare all accounts that you have ever used on Wikipedia. Martin 10:24, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
(Assuming Lir can remember them all.) --Michael Snow 16:17, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I'd like to note that Lir is lying here. Editing Saddam Hussein is a Lir account - not only is it on the same password as his others, but also, based on /whois queries in IRC, I can verify that Editing and Lir come from the exact same Qwest host. Furthermore, ComradeNick has confirmed several times in IRC that Editing is a Lir account. Snowspinner 00:08, Jul 13, 2004 (UTC)
